Giana, a graduate of the University of Washington and a Microsoft employee at the time seemed like the perfect choice. The challenge of owning her own business was too much for Giana to resist. A few months later, they were partners and owners of A Flower Shop.

Lisa’s husband, Don, is an engineer. He has worked and traveled worldwide. Together with their three daughters and son, they lived overseas for several years. They lived in Canada, North Africa, Malaysia, Norway and several weeks in France. They used every spare moment to travel and visit over 35 other countries.

Because of Lisa’s love for flowers & people, she enrolled in floral classes everywhere she lived. “That was one of the first things I did when we arrived at our new assignment. It was a good way to connect with other people and it was exciting to learn new ways to design flowers.” Giana brings her own unique & edgy style. “After working with the guys at Microsoft for six years, I learned what appeals to their creative, ‘Let’s do something different’ look.”

The experiences gained while living abroad is what adds to the eclectic influence of Lisa and Giana’s work and shop.

In addition to flowers & plants, this charming shop is filled with home décor items and lovely gifts. You will find hand crafted jewelry, pictures, candles, yummy scented soaps and a potpourri of artsy little things that one loves to give and to receive.
